Phynella for sale
It’s time for a new Phynella future!
After almost 30 years of ownership, with great adventures and lot’s of fun, the owners have decided that there is a new future for Phynella. Step aboard Phynella — a vessel where time halts and the golden age of sailing breathes once more.
Built in 1937 by the esteemed Dan Webb in Maldon, as yard number 166, and designed by the legendary Norman Dallimore from Burnham-on-Crouch (Design No. 215), Phynella is not merely a yacht — she is a living legacy of British boatbuilding excellence.

Measuring 12 metres in length, with a graceful beam of 2.95 metres and a draught of 1.95 metres, she offers the perfect balance between elegance and seaworthiness. Her mast rises 15.5 metres above the waterline, supporting a beautifully cut sail plan in Egyption color, crafted by Van der Werf of Made, Netherlands. Her sail wardrobe includes:
- Main Sail: 40 m²
- Yankee: 13 m²
- Stay Sail 1: 12 m²
- Stay Sail 2 (Yankee 2): 11 m²
- Genoa: 19 m²
- Spinaker: 50 m²
Below deck, she offers 5 berths, all finished in classic style, with warm timbers and refined craftsmanship that echo her storied past. Every detail whispers of voyages taken and adventures yet to come.
Her galley features a gas stove and oven, a large Australian style fridge and ample space for your lovely foods.

Her powerful 3-cylinder, 38 BHP Volvo Penta engine offers reliability when the winds fall still, while her modest 9.8 tonnes displacement ensures a confident, comfortable ride even when Poseidon shows his might.
Homeported in Yerseke, Netherlands, Phynella is lovingly maintained with no money spared, her spirit undiminished by time. She is accompanied by an elegant Acorn Tender (Auk) designed by Ian Oughtred, the perfect complement to her classic lines.
